Let's play the most exciting home video game, which plays on any brand .... any size TV
The Tele-Sports by Radofin, I think it was released in 1977 but can't find confirmation. I already have the Tele-Sports 3 model, as well as the Intelevision and Aquarius which were also made by Radofin for Mattel
This one came from Vinted and cost me only £5 plus shipping
Here is the box, it's not in the best of condition but still functions as a box
A little squashed around the edges, but still intact
The players can be up to twelve feet apart, plus it has all the usual features for the time. There was an optional pistol attachment to play the two exciting marksmanship games
The item arrived well packaged, being in bubble wrap and inside another box, but the box contents were left to their own devices during the trip
Here is the console, it is from the six game era of Pongs, the games are selected from a large dial and include Target and Skeet (with the optional pistol), Practice, Squash, Football, and Tennis. It was common for games, especially Football to be renamed to Hockey for other markets
The console has the usual option controlling bat size, ball angle and speed, auto and manual serve
The unit also features a manual score counter to keep track of games won by the players, it's likely the in-game score is displayed on-screen
The base of the console with embossed patents and model label
The battery compartment which takes six D cells, and has foam which has not yet degraded into a flaky mess
The controllers are quite large compared to others, and feature a dial, it kinda looks like it has an secondary outer dial, but it's all just one piece
The controllers against the console
The rear of the console has fixed leads for the tv connection and the two controllers, a socket for the pistol and external power
I have the instruction book
The RF plug, it is the plug with only a rubber cover over the back, I had a device with this exact same plug fitted back in the day
