I'm going to soon need a dedicated Prinztronic page as I have now picked up another Prinztronic Pong console. This time it's a PC-50x based model
The PC-50x range used cartridges with the Pong on a chip IC inside, meaning the user could buy additional games for their system, the graphics were still the typical Pong style though. The console itself was just a means of connecting the cartridge to the controllers and TV set. There was a kind of standard for manufacturers to follow, including ten buttons (or a dial) to select games on the cartridge, and a fire/serve button on the controller, and three software switches for in-game options etc
The box is in so-so condition
And includes the poly's
The console itself. Manual score counters were still in use here. Also note the ten buttons with reset and three option switches
The cartridge slot, the PC-50x consoles were mostly compatible with each other, the size and shape of the cartridge could be an issue though
The base of the console with model label and sound control adjustment
Close up of the model label and embossed text
The rear of the console with what I assume is the volume control, controller ports, TV lead, whatever the three position colour switch is, and external power socket
Close up of the connections and rotary control
Another wedge shaped console
The console from the front
The PSU, note the Radofin branding
The controllers, with a non-centering stick and serve button. They use a DIN plug as the connection to the console
Software
I have some of these already with another Pong consoles
