Not to be confused with the Grandstand Match of the Day 2000, is the Grandstand TV Game 2000 which is what we have here
Released in 1977 it seems to be a clone of the Gamatic 7600 which uses the Texas Instruments TMS-1965 which was pin compatible with the common General Instruments AY-3-8500
The case style would be used again by Grandstand for the 3000 which was a colour pong console
The box was in ok condition until the previous owner stuck brown tape all over it for some reason
Packaged well with it's single remaining poly
The console itself with and without the controllers
Four games are available, Football, Tennis, Squash, and Practice
The usual game options are present here, ball speed, angle, and bat size, with auto/manual serve, plus power
The base of the console
Battery compartment and model label
The controllers with their metal base, giving the player a bat control dial and a button, the left player can serve the ball and the right player can reset the game
There is a cable entry point on both sides of the controller
The rear of the console with the external power socket, RF lead, and what I assume is a horizontal hold control
The controllers are hardwired with a short coiled cable
An unusual RF plug
The PSU, 9 volts at 100mA from 240 volts
