I never knew this existed until I saw it, then I had to have one, and then I had to buy a cartridge to go with it
I will be testing it soon, most likely with the Ferguson 3840 portable black and white TV
Testing complete
It's a similar form factor to other Grandstand consoles, I didn't realise it never came with a cartridge, because I don't tend to read the whole listing, so back to ebay to find one and they're common enough, so I got the cartridge that came bundled with the console for pennies
The base of the unit with the model number
The battery compartment
This one does have the external rifle connector
The rear with RF lead and external PSU socket
The cartridge slot with plastic cover, you'll note the "PC-Series" text, this is because the console and it's rebadged clones were known as PC-50x and were considered to be part of the first generation of video game consoles
The control panel
The cartridge, these contained a version of the General Instruments AY-3-8xxx range of Pong-on-a-chip IC's, there is no CPU in the console
With the cartridge installed
The cartridge box, this is the most common as it was bundled with the console
You'll get a blank screen with no cartridge installed, and when the cartridge is installed but before you select a game
Happily this one works great, except the left controller is unresponsive
