This was part of a job lot of VTech kids game consoles I bought from a car boot sale for only £2
All the VTech goodies together
Very similar to the other three VTech Smile consoles, they and the Pocket take the same cartridges. This one is part of the second generation of V Smile consoles
There is storage at the top for six cartridges, and on this model, a microphone, which appears to be hardwired as the cable disappears inside the console
This is the microphone, it has an on/off button and a LED
The consoles can be powered by batteries, or a mains adaptor, there is some evidence of battery leakage in all the consoles. Four AA cells are needed here
This appears to be a socket for something, it has a "C" and a microphone symbol on it, but the microphone appears to be hardwired, so I don't know
The rear of the unit, with the socket for the power adaptor, and the composite TV connections with stereo audio
This controller can have part of it rotated, so while it looks like there are two, there is only one
The base of the controller with the switch to unlock the bottons on the front allowing them to rotate
A Mini DIN plug connects to the console
Software
These cartridges have a label on each side, I don't think that means they are reversable, I haven't tried yet
