A recent donation to the site was this Super Nintendo style mini games console
They have tried to make it look like a SNES, but left off the branding and logos. The power switch is difficult to turn on but turns off very easily, and the reset button does work as well, the catridge slot and eject button are fake
Model: SFC
Input: 5V ⎓ 200mA
MADE IN CHINA
Not much going on the sides, which is like the original SNES
The controller ports are Atari style 9 pin sockets, no idea if they actually are compatible or not, the bundles controllers are multi-button like the Sega Megadrive, maybe it uses a shift register?
On the rear is the 2.5mm TRS TV connection and a micro USB power socket
The controllers are the usual SNES style, they are as light as you would expect but the buttons don't feel horrible
Composite video and mono audio is all they could manage from the console
I don't know if this was the original power adaptor and lead, but the lead is broken so will be going in the bin, and the USB plug would probably explode if plugged into a hign current device
The box is nice, no inserts though
I've not powered this up yet, when I do I will report back...
Update
I have powered it up now and I'm pleased to report it works fine, it's just a bit rubbish
An extremely bright LED
This is one of those consoles which contain hundred's of hacked roms, usually from Nintendo, the menu claims there's 620 of them, but a lot of them are the same game with different sprites and backgrounds etc
This is Mario 3, it's a hacked version of Super Mario 3, the SNES version, they at least removed most of the text on the title screen, that may have even of been on purpose
Super Bros 6, which is the SNES version of Super Mario Bros, with different sprites
The camera was a fraction too late, but this said "Licenced by Nintendo" along the bottom. I wonder what Nintendo's solicitors have to say about that?
This is clearly based on Bubble Bobble
After this I got bored and put it away
