Whilst my lovely better half had a hair appointment I decided to visit a nearby charity shop and found this PC for only £35
This was taped to the side and gives some details about what's inside
The case looks quite nice. Windows Vista capable? No thanks!
I saw it had a few cards installled, so £35 didn't seem that bad
It's a large case, taller than a normal case, very shiny too. The side pops off with a lever on the top
Overview of the internals
Two hard discs are installed
Two optical drives are also installed, the top one is a DVD rom and the bottom is a DVD burner
PSU specs
GPU with VGA, DVI, and S Video
Sound card
Modem card
Firewire card
SATA and IDE connections
Not sure what this IC is for and why it needs a heatsink
The 3.20GHz Pentium 4 HT is underneath here
Quite a nice keyboard with media controls and wrist support. I did not get the mouse
The base of the keyboard
The about and DXDiag screens, this looks like a pretty beefy XP build
When first switched on it defaulted to 4:3 video, but it had no problem running in 1080P mode
I am going to spend some time with this PC and find out more of what it can do
