My very first real computer was a Commodore Plus 4, I had a datasette and the introduction to BASIC pack, and also four cartridge games which were the three text adventures Strange Odyssey, Atomic Mission, and Pirate Adventure, I couldn't get my head around these games, and finally the arcade game Jack Attack, which I played to death. Eventually I found other Plus 4 owners and started to "borrow" games including the ten game pack that came with other bundles including Icicle Works, Treasure Island and Exorcist. I loved that computer very much
Games were cheap and I built up a large collections of the £1.99 games by publishers such as Mastertronic, Gremlin Graphics, and Code Masters
The Plus 4 had to be replaced as it died on me
Later my sister had the Commodore 64c, we played Snare and the Dizzy games on it
Eventually after my Sinclair Spectrum period, I upgraded to the Commodore Amiga, which was revolutionary with its fast disk drives, fancy graphics and sound and the Workbench operating system
