This is my Game Boy Color

I used to have the original Game Boy, but that got dropped a few times which caused the screen to lose some lines. It was swapped for a pair of Blaupunkt 6 1/4" car speakers
This one was bought as a birthday present a few years later. I still have the original box, and most of the boxes for the games. And as a bonus, it still works.
The Game Boy Color is based on the Game Boy Pocket, which means it's a lot smaller and lighter than the original, and uses a lot less power, so you only need two AA batteries, rather than four. The screen is still not backlit, although there are back light kits available

On the front of the Game Boy is the usual D-Pad, Start and Select, and the A and B buttons. As well as the screen and mono speaker, stereo was available through the headphone socket. There is a power LED which goes out just before the batteries die.
The back has the cartridge slot and battery compartment

The left side has a hole for a carrying strap, volume dial, and the external connector, which could link several Game Boys together with the appropriate leads
The right side has the power switch

On the top is a IR LED serial port, and on the bottom is the headphone socket.

Here is the original box
Game cartridges
I have eight games for my Game Boy, some of these are original Game Boy games, and some are Game Boy Color only games. Most of these have the original box and plastic case.
