Here are some old CRT televisions of mine I have used for watching TV and playing games in the past, also known as the good old days
Cap10 17 inch black and white TV, unknown model number
I don't remember much about this TV, and I can't find out much about it either, these are the only photos I can find of it on the internet, I did find out it was likely made by Tatung and sold in other markets under different brands. I would love to have this TV again. I used this TV with the Binatone TV Master Mark 8 and Commodore Plus 4
Unidentified 22 inch Bush colour TV
The TV in the picture may not be the actual TV I had, but it's the closet picture I can find. I'm sure it had the volume, picture controls, and channels at the bottom, and the speaker above that. It was my parents spare TV in the back room, but on special occasions, or if I had been a good boy I could take the Plus 4 downstairs and play games on it in colour, eventually it came up into my room to replace the Cap10 B&W TV. I remember the volume control was bad meaning every time you touched it the volume would go to maximum and it'll take ages to settle down to a comfortable level
22 inch Ferguson Colourstar 3722
After the previous TV died, my parents replaced it for me with this, it was huge, I used it with my Commodore Plus 4, I remember it kept having to go for repair all the time. I also remember my Plus 4 dying by just booting to a light blue screen and it being taken back to the shop for repair. On the day it was returned the TV died again. That was the worst thing ever to happen to a child!
14 inch Fidelity 2114T
This was the TV I had the longest, and it had a remote control which was mind blowing for me at the time. It only had RF in and it had 8 presets with three button ramp tuning, the 8th preset was designated the VCR channel but it didn't handle the signal very well resulting in a slightly blurry picture and a buzz from inside the set when playing tapes back. I would have used this with my Spectrum 128K Toast rack, then my Amiga 500+ until I got a Phillips CM8833 Mk2 monitor. I would have also used this with the United Artists cable TV service and an old Samsung VCR. This TV would come with me when I moved out, but the tuner eventually died in it meaning it wouldn't pick up signals anymore. I also had a red version of this, but it wasn't used for gaming
24 inch widescreen Philips 24PW6302
I was given this set as the previous owner didn't want it any more, and it worked perfectly. I had a little retro gaming set up going on with this TV, I had my Nintendo N64, Sega Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, and a Philips VCR connected to it, although it too died and was replaced with a cheap supermarket LCD
Unfortunately after this it was a succession of cheap LCD TV's which are not worth documenting at this time
