Ian's Retro Museum
Modern Recreations

A look at the modern recreations of retro computers I have in my collection

The fact they are tiny is neither here or there

Being only a quarter of the size of their older big brothers they can still play the games we loved back in the day, and using modern flash drives, HDMI and USB connections there are none of the issues of using older hardware to worry about, like trying to make it work with a modern TV, failing capacitors, or corrupted media.

And as a added bonus both my Raspberry Pi Zero powered versions of the Commodore Plus/4 and Sinclair Spectrum are here as well.

Well, they are recreations after all.

There are 5 retro computer recreations in the museum

The C64 Mini

A modern recreation of the classic Commodore 64

The A500 Mini

A modern recreation of the classic Commodore Amiga 500

The 400 Mini

A modern recreation of the classic Atari 400

My Rasperry Pi Powered Spectrum

My homemade modern version of the Sinclair Spectrum

My Rasperry Pi Powered Commodore Plus/4

My homemade modern version of the Commodore Plus 4

The dark area

I hope you all find this as interesting and as nostalgic as I do.

And if you do, why not check out the next page in my retro museum... Upgrades

Special thanks to my long-suffering partner Denise for putting up with all this "nonsense".

No cats were unnecessarily annoyed during the creation of this site

Speaking of cats, did you see one here?
