I did not know about this console until I saw it at Axminster car boot sale, I got it for £5. Then I was offered another one on Ebay for a similar price, so I have two of them now
The box could be described as "not the best"
Poly's are intact though
This box would be for the PSU, but I don't have that until the second console arrives
This console looks super cool, like a Bang and Olufsen stereo from back in the day, with its flat design and tinted cover which is held closed by the two clips which need to be both pressed in at the same time to release the lid
The controls, command manual, and option panel
The controllers lift out of the unit and are flat, like a TV remote control, or a Bang and Olufsen stereo remote control of course. They do not detach from the console though
The instructions are folded inside a plastic shell and are stored in the unit, again this is so cool
The base of the unit with model label, note no battery compartment, and the model number, which is VMV14
The rear of the console has a space to store the cables, the RF lead for the TV and the lead that plugs into the PSU with a DIN plug, I don't have the PSU yet, but it might be the same as the PSU I have for another console
You can see just how flat and rounded this super cool console is
Both the leads have plugs on the end, one for the TV and one for the PSU
Everything about this console screams style
A nice touch is the label on the lid lines up exactly with the label on the console. The font is similar, but not the same as the Star Trek font
The game itself is like an early version of Battle Chess with space ships used instead of the more traditional chess pieces, which can fire missiles, take shield damage, and warp to another area of the board when the piece has taken too much damage. It does not seem possible to add other games to the console, making this a plug and play console
According to some sites on the internet, this is said to be one of the rarest consoles ever produced. So if you see one, or two, pick it up for your collection while they are cheap
The second console arrives
Exactly the same as the first one, does not include the box, but does come with the poly's, PSU, and registration card
Which is here
The PSU, it's a similar style to the Grandstand Video Entertainment Computer where the lead comes out the console and plugs into the PSU, however the plug is different, so it's not compatible
