Apple computers were always a mystery to me, I had never used one instead preferring the Amiga as well as a 486 PC with Windows 3.1, and passing through various desktops and laptops using ME, XP, Vista, 7, 10, and finally 11 when I finally switched to Linux Mint after Microsoft stopped updating 11 on unsupported hardware without all the workarounds which I couldn't be bothered with anymore
Apple computers have switched processor architecture five times thoughout its history, starting with the MOS Technology 6502 used in the Apple II (I would love to get hold of one for the museum) then the Motorola 68000 in the original Macintosh 128K and the Mac SE FDHD below, then using the PowerPC processor in the PowerMac era, examples in the museum are the PowerMac G4, eMac and the original iMac below, next was Intel X86/64 processors which are used in the iMac 12.1 and MacBook 7.1 which are also displayed in the museum below. Lastly Apple have recently switched to an ARM processor which they call Apple Silicon. They are far too new for the museum at this time
